Overview of the course

AS/A2 Physical Education is the study of physical activity and sport in terms of human anatomy, health and psychological states. It is also about improving the individual’s personal skills and performance(s) by selecting and using appropriate techniques and strategies to improve. This will also allow you to successfully lead others in developing their personal skills and performance in sports/exercises. You will cover topics such as Anatomy and Physiology, Acquiring Movement Skills, Coaching, Social Cultural Studies, Historical Studies, Sports Psychology, Technology and Analysis in Sport and Exercise Physiology. A Grade B in GCSE in Physical Education OR BTEC equivalent is necessary.

Opportunities

After completing the programme, successful candidates may progress onto multiple courses at University, as well as various employment opportunities within the industry.
